The Unified Patent Court is an international court, set up to deal with the infringement and validity of European patents and European patents with unitary effect (EPUE), and open for participation of all EU member states. It was set up in 2013 by the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court, and will come into existence when that Agreement enters into force through the ratification process.
